Budgam, Aug 09 (KNO): A grand Parents-Teachers Meeting (PTM) was held at Government Higher Secondary School Chadoora, attended by representatives from all schools in the Chadoora cluster.
The event as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) saw participation from a large number of parents, students and teachers.
MLA Chadoora Constituency, Ali Mohammad Dar, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while SDM Chadoora attended as the guest of honour.
Principal Mushtaq Ahmad delivered the welcome address, highlighting the crucial role of parents and teachers in students’ development. He also introduced the audience to the New Education Policy 2020 and discussed various educational, social and infrastructural challenges faced by schools.
The event featured a variety of cultural performances reflecting Kashmiri heritage, along with stalls where students showcased their work.
Addressing the gathering, Sub District Magistrate (SDM) Chadoora emphasised strong collaboration between parents and teachers.
During the event, MLA Ali Mohammad Dar announced Rs 5 lakh for the development of the Higher Secondary School’s playground, Rs 2 lakh for smart classes, Rs 1 lakh for students’ uniforms and books, and Rs 50,000 for Middle School Hanji Gund—(KNO)
